Gingerbread
Ornaments
Ingredients
Mix ingredients together.
Roll out dough on floured surface. Cut out into gingerbread and heart shapes,
using cookie cutters.
Use straw or toothpick to make holes in top of ornaments to insert
ribbon for hanging on tree or wall for decoration.
For plant pokes, or pieces to decorate holiday centerpiece, push wooden skewer or
lollipop stick into dough at bottom.
Allow dough to air dry thoroughly. Decorate.
Use brown acrylic paint for gingerbread look, white acrylic paint for accent lines.
Use wire wrapped around pencil for coiled hanger. Tie piece curling ribbon or raffia
to wire for accent.
Add drop or two of spice potpourri oil to back of ornament to refresh aroma.

4 oz. cinnamon
Mix ingredients together.
Cut out ornaments with holiday cookie cutters.
Paint with acrylic paints, if desired.

2 cups Flour
1 cup Salt
2 Tbsp. Cinnamon
1 Tbsp. Ginger
1 Tbsp. Cloves
1 Cup Water
1 cup Applesauce
1/4 cup white school glue (like Elmer's)
1 cup Applesauce
1 T. Nutmeg
1 T. Ground Cloves
1 T. White Glue
Knead dough until smooth. Flatten between waxed paper to 1/4" thick.
Use straw or toothpick to make holes in top of ornaments to insert
ribbon for hanging on tree or wall for decoration.
Let air dry. May take 3-5 days. Turn ornaments over several times a
day to dry evenly.
