Constructing a Gingerbread House

Roll Dough

Rolling pin rings keep dough uniform
in thickness for even baking

Place Pattern

Cut Dough

Cut, using sharp knife or
pizza cutter
THEN
Place Dough

Place dough on lightly greased
or parchment lined cookie sheet
then bake.
Decorate

Decorate roof pieces, sides, front and
back pieces, laying flat
Assemble House

Place on base, attach sides
to front and back
Run bead of frosting at seams
Let Frosting Dry

Use soup cans to prop pieces
until frosting dries. Add roof pieces
Let frosting on sides, back and front
dry thoroughly before attaching roof, or house will fall apart
